Wild Boar Carameling Sugar Butt Rubs are perfect for rubbing on steaks, chicken, pork chops, ribs, and, of course, pork butt. You can also use it to dips, marinades and stir-fry recipes for a bigger and bolder flavor. Wild Boar adds a little "sass" to everything.

Our Wild Boar Rubs offers a tasteful and exciting line of sugar rubs bursting with big, bold flavor. When grilling and roasting meats with Wild Boar, it is helpful to know that sugar burns above 350F; however, don't be discouraged. Learning to cook with sugar-based products can produce some really outstanding and tasty results. For example, our Sassy Pork Loin forms a slightly burned - caramelized crust that is "addictive".

To enhance caramelization, our rubs include brown sugar. The preparation of many "caramelized" foods also involves the Maillard reaction; particularly recipes involving protein and/or amino acid -rich ingredients such as meat. The Maillard reaction is a chemical reaction between amino acids and reducing sugars that gives browned foods their desirable flavor. In the process, hundreds of different flavor compounds are created. These compounds, in turn, break down to form yet more new flavor compounds, and so on. Each type of food has a very distinctive set of flavor compounds that are formed during the Maillard reaction. Our rub is designed to provide a combination of spices that add zest to the caramelization process while cooking. The “crust” is loaded with flavor and will add to your enjoyment of your meats and veggies. "Research shows that people who don't typically eat spicy foods are most likely to benefit from turning the heat up a notch." - WEBMD
